# ServerPoint Client Portal
> The ServerPoint Client Portal (https://portal.serverpoint.com) is where ServerPoint customers order, run and pay for web hosting, virtual servers (ColossusCloud), dedicated bare metal servers, domain names, email and DNS, in one account and one interface, in 20 languages. It is generation 7 of the portal, a complete rewrite released in April 2026, and it runs as a serverless application on edge servers worldwide, talking to ServerPoint's infrastructure through its own API. ServerPoint also sells affordable hosting under its original brand, APlusHosting (aplushosting.com).
The portal is a JavaScript application, so most pages are empty to a tool that does not run JavaScript. The public shopping carts have readable versions, listed first below. They are built from live data on every request. This file is too: the operating systems, data centres, plans and prices in it are read from the API each time it is fetched.
## Readable shopping carts (no account needed)
Every cart has three readable forms. Add `.md` for markdown or `.json` for JSON, or request the cart page with the header `Accept: text/markdown`. The cart pages also carry schema.org Product and Offer data, `` tags and a `Link` header pointing to both forms.
- Web hosting cart: https://portal.serverpoint.com/public/cart/wh ([markdown](https://portal.serverpoint.com/public/cart/wh.md), [JSON](https://portal.serverpoint.com/public/cart/wh.json)). Plans, what each includes, prices per term, data centres, applications that can be preinstalled.
- Virtual server carts: https://portal.serverpoint.com/public/cart/vs/, for example [https://portal.serverpoint.com/public/cart/vs/letmar25.md](https://portal.serverpoint.com/public/cart/vs/letmar25.md). Plans, CPU, RAM, disk, transfer, price per billing term, stock in each data centre, backup prices, operating systems, cPanel.
- Dedicated server carts: https://portal.serverpoint.com/public/cart/bm/, for example [https://portal.serverpoint.com/public/cart/bm/let2733.md](https://portal.serverpoint.com/public/cart/bm/let2733.md). Server models, CPU, cores and threads, RAM and maximum RAM, disks and drive bays, transfer, port speed, price per term, stock in each data centre, every hardware add-on with its price, operating systems, cPanel.
Virtual and dedicated server carts are reached through a promo code, which decides the plans and prices on offer. An unknown code answers 404. Stock is shown as In stock, Sold out or Not offered for each data centre.
## API documentation
Customers can build their own control panel, or automate their account, on the same API the portal uses. Its documentation is plain markdown, one file per page. The index links to every page: [https://portal.serverpoint.com/docs/api/index.md](https://portal.serverpoint.com/docs/api/index.md)
## Languages
The whole portal, including the shopping carts, is translated into 20 languages. Every language pack has been reviewed for natural, native wording. Customers switch language at any time from the language selector.

## Brands and history
- ServerPoint serves customers who need higher-capacity hosting, virtual servers, dedicated servers and enterprise infrastructure.
- ColossusCloud (colossuscloud.com) is ServerPoint's cloud platform for virtual servers.
- APlusHosting (aplushosting.com) is ServerPoint's original brand, revived in May 2026 for simple, low-cost web hosting and domain registration.
- Portal history: version 5 (2018) introduced portal.serverpoint.com; version 6 (2022) was the first serverless rewrite, with an API, multiple credit cards and server tags; 6.1 (2023) added the support ticket system, G4 Xeon Gold virtual servers, DNS hosting and SMS two-factor authentication; version 7 (2026) is the current ground-up rewrite that brought web hosting, email, domains, DNS, virtual servers and dedicated servers into one portal.
## Web hosting
Web hosting is sold as hosting containers. A container is a web hosting space with its own share of disk, CPU and memory. Each website is caged to its own resources, so a busy neighbour cannot slow it down: it is shared hosting without the "bad neighbour" problem. Even within one data centre, containers are spread across many physical servers, so a server failure affects only a few customers. A customer can run as many containers as they like, of different sizes, in different data centres.
All plans include free SSL, one-click WordPress installation, professional email and calendar, and webmail. Plans renew at the same price they were bought at. Yearly billing gives 12 months for the price of 10.
### Current plans (live from the API)
| Plan | Websites | Storage | Mailboxes | Backups kept | Monthly | Yearly |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Entry | 1 | 10 GB | 1 | 14 days | $5.00 | $50.00 |
| Entry+ | 5 | 25 GB | 3 | 21 days | $10.00 | $100.00 |
| Pro (most popular) | 20 | 50 GB | 10 | 30 days | $20.00 | $200.00 |
| Ultra | 50 | 100 GB | 30 | 60 days | $35.00 | $350.00 |

### What a customer can do with a container
- Order a new container, choosing plan, data centre, billing term, a domain (register a new one in the same order, or use one they already have) and an application to preinstall.
- Start, stop, restart and cancel a container, with real-time status. Cancelling schedules deletion for the end of the billing period, and can be undone until then.
- Change the billing term at any time (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual).
- Change the PHP version on the fly for all sites in the container. Security updates are applied automatically; a major version is never changed without the customer.
- Set the shell password used for FTP, SFTP, SCP and, where the plan includes it, SSH. Each container has its own shell username.
- Open the file manager.
- See the container's IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, price, term and next renewal date.
- Rename the container.
- Upgrade or downgrade the plan.
- See usage charts for the last 24 hours: CPU, RAM, disk I/O, disk transfer speed, hits per minute, PHP/CGI processes, MySQL CPU, MySQL disk I/O and bandwidth.
- See disk and bandwidth use against the plan's limits.
### Websites in a container
- Add a domain the customer owns as a website. A folder is created for it in the container.
- Add subdomains of an existing domain.
- Add domain aliases, as a mirror (shows the target site's content) or a redirect (sends visitors to the target site).
- Add domain forwarders.
- The portal warns when a domain is already used in another container or another account.
- See every website across all containers on one page, and every installed application on another.
### Databases
- Create MariaDB databases (MySQL compatible), up to the plan's limit.
- Make a backup (SQL dump into the home directory), set a new password, block access, clear all tables, or delete a database.
### Weebly
- Customers with Weebly website builder sites manage them from the portal and open the Weebly editor from there.
## Email
Email comes with web hosting, on any domain hosted in the customer's containers.
- Create email addresses in basic mode, or advanced mode for multi-function addresses.
- An address can be any combination of: a mailbox (webmail, IMAP, POP3 and SMTP), a forwarder to other addresses, an alias of another mailbox on the same domain, and an autoresponder with an optional expiry date.
- Per domain: catch-all delivery (unknown addresses go to a chosen mailbox) or a default forwarder (unknown addresses go to an external address).
- Change mailbox passwords at any time without contacting support.
- Open webmail through the customer's own domain or through the server.
- Use any desktop or mobile email program (Outlook, Apple Mail, iPhone, Android and others).
- See all email accounts and all email domains on one page each, search them, and select several to act on at once.
- Plan limits for mailboxes, forwarders and aliases are shown as they are used.
## Virtual servers (ColossusCloud)
A virtual server is a slice of a powerful physical machine with its own vCPUs, RAM, storage, IP addresses and operating system, with full root access on Linux or full Administrator access on Windows. Servers are billed by the hour with no contract and can be cancelled at any time, or reserved for a longer term at a lower price (monthly, yearly, 2 years or 3 years). Linux servers are usually ready in about 3 minutes, Windows in 15 minutes or less. Every server includes DDoS protection.

cPanel/WHM can be preinstalled on a Linux virtual server: cPanel and WHM (with AlmaLinux 10), $29.99 a month. It needs at least 4 GB of RAM.
### Deploying
A guided, step-by-step order: data centre on a world map, then CPU, category and plan size, then operating system, then cPanel/WHM (optional), then a backup plan, then label, password, quantity and extra IPv4 addresses.
- Build several identical servers in one order; each gets its own IP address.
- Deploy from one of your own saved snapshots instead of a fresh operating system. A cPanel licence in the snapshot carries over.
- "Deploy another server" repeats the previous order's choices.
- The order page shows the account balance and lets the customer add funds without leaving it.
### Managing a virtual server
- Power on, power off (graceful), and reboot, with live status.
- Browser console (keyboard, video and mouse) that works even when the server is offline or unreachable, with quick keys such as CTRL+ALT+DEL and automatic reconnection.
- Set, reset or retrieve the root or Administrator password. When resetting a password, enter a new password or have the portal generate one. The server restarts with the chosen password; the new password is not emailed. Save the password before continuing.
- Reinstall the operating system, including switching between Linux and Windows. Choose or generate the new root or Administrator password in the reinstall form; the new password is not emailed. Reinstalling erases the server's contents and daily backups.
- Boot from an ISO image in the ISO library (Linux, router distributions and more) for rescue or a custom install, then unmount it.
- Resize: upgrade to a larger plan. Disk can grow but never shrink.
- Change the billing term.
- Label and tag servers.
- See the overview: specifications, IP addresses, price, next payment, additional packages and live disk usage (used, available, total), which turns red when the disk is nearly full.
- Cancel at the end of the billing period (can be undone until then), or delete at once and recover within 72 hours from the "Servers pending deletion" page.
### Networking
- Public IPv4 addresses: add more (each is charged monthly) or remove extras.
- IPv6: enabling IPv6 gives the server 1 IPv6 address.
- Routed IPv6 subnets: a full /64 or /56 subnet can then be routed to the server.
- Private VLAN: turn on a second network port for a private network between the customer's own servers. Off by default.
- Turn the public IPv4 and public IPv6 network ports on or off, for example to reach a server only through the console or the private VLAN.
- Reverse DNS for every IP address.
- DDoS protection for large attacks (5 Gbps or more) at every data centre, at no cost.
### Backups and snapshots
- Paid backup plans are available for hourly-billed virtual servers, not monthly-billed servers: daily backups or daily backups with longer retention, priced as a percentage of the server's price.
- One-click restore of any daily backup.
- Permanent snapshots, kept until deleted, which can be used as templates for new servers.
- Backups are stored on a separate system with incremental, deduplicated backup software.
### Licences and packages that can be attached to a virtual server
cPanel (5, 30 or 100 accounts, and additional accounts), cPanel with CloudLinux, CloudLinux, Plesk (10, 30, 100 or unlimited domains), Windows Server, Remote Desktop licences (5 to 30 users), Microsoft SQL Server (Web, Workgroup, Standard, Enterprise), Microsoft Office (Standard, Professional), Word and Excel, extra IPv4 addresses, and 100% dedicated vCPU usage.
### Fleet tools
- Search servers by name or IP address.
- Filter by data centre or tag, and group by operating system, data centre and more.
- Select many servers and start, stop, reboot or delete them together.
- Usage charts for every server: CPU (average and peak against the vCPU count) and bandwidth (inbound and outbound, average and peak), over 24 hours, 7, 14 or 30 days, or the current month. A dashboard shows all servers' charts, sortable by CPU, and warns about servers with sustained high CPU.
## Dedicated servers (bare metal)
A dedicated server is a whole physical machine reserved for one customer. Servers are ordered and paid for in the portal and delivered by ServerPoint's staff; some models are marked "Ready in under an hour". Prepaying for longer terms gives free months.
### Data centres for dedicated servers (live)

### Hardware
- Processor generations: AMD EPYC Genoa (newest), AMD EPYC Milan, AMD EPYC, Intel Xeon Gold (AVX-512 with NVMe disks), Intel Xeon E5 v4, Intel Xeon E5 v4 with RAID (LSI MegaRAID 3108 with battery backup), Intel Xeon E5 v2 and Intel Xeon E3.
- Models are compared side by side: sockets, cores and threads, clock speed, RAM type and maximum, disks and drive bays, monthly transfer and port speed.
- Hardware upgrades in the order: more RAM (up to 1.5 TB), larger primary disks and up to 11 additional disks (solid state up to 7.68 TB and NVMe up to 15.36 TB), RAID controller and RAID disks, more monthly transfer (up to 800 TB) or unmetered ports (1, 5, 10, 20, 40 or 100 Gbps), additional IPv4 blocks (3 to 63 addresses), a routed /64 or /56 IPv6 subnet, BGP sessions to the server and bring-your-own IP addresses.
- The current prices of every model and add-on are in the dedicated server carts listed above.

- Managed: ServerPoint handles operating system updates, security patches and basic monitoring.
- Fully managed: full server management, including application support, monitoring and proactive maintenance.
### Managing a dedicated server
- Power on, power off and reboot.
- See and install operating system updates.
- Reverse DNS for its IP addresses, and the list of its public IPv4 addresses.
- Bandwidth graphs per network port: hourly, daily, weekly and monthly.
- Overview: model, serial number, processor, sockets, clock speed, memory, storage, data centre, IP addresses, price and next payment.
- Label and tag servers; search, filter by data centre and group.
- Schedule cancellation for the next payment date, and undo it until then.
## Domain names
- Register new domains for 1 to 10 years, with the price shown before checkout, from a catalogue that grew by 40 extensions in 2026. Premium domains are priced as such.
- Transfer domains in, several in one checkout. Before checkout the portal checks each domain can be transferred and explains in plain words why not (locked, registered or moved in the last 60 days, wrong or expired authorisation code, contact email not working, expired).
- Registry questions for extensions that need them are asked before the domain is added to the order, for example .ca, .uk, .us, .it, .es and .fr. Depending on the extension, questions can cover registration as a person or company, a company registration number, or date of birth. Answers appear under each domain in the order summary before payment.
- Extensions with country restrictions require an eligible contact address. The order form identifies ineligible addresses and lists the allowed countries. Country choices use translated names sorted by name, and date questions use a date picker.
- On each domain: renew for 1 to 10 years, auto-renew, let expire, lock or unlock, free WHOIS privacy, premium WHOIS privacy, edit registrant, admin, tech and billing contacts, change nameservers (one click to use ServerPoint's), get the EPP authorisation code to move it away, and see its hosting and email services.
- Address book of contact profiles to reuse across registrations.
- A health view lists domains that need attention (expiring, auto-renew off, email not verified), with bulk fixes.
## DNS hosting
DNS hosting is free with any service. It runs on a global Anycast network with DDoS mitigation and three independent nameserver domains:
- ns.serverpoint-dns1.com
- ns.serverpoint-dns2.com
- ns.serverpoint-dns3.com
Customers can:
- Add any domain to DNS hosting, including domains registered elsewhere.
- Manage A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, NS, SRV and CAA records. A records can point to the customer's own ServerPoint IP addresses from a list, or to any address.
- Create TXT records with guided help for SPF, DKIM, DMARC, BIMI, MTA-STS, TLS-RPT and site verification (Google, Facebook and others), on the root domain or any subdomain.
- See whether a domain actually uses ServerPoint's nameservers, and fix it.
- Select many zones and act on them together.
## Account, users and security
- Sign in with a username or an email address. Two-factor authentication by text message or an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator. When the app is enabled, sign-in asks for its code instead of a text message. Single-use backup codes work when the customer cannot access the app or receive a text message.
- Authenticator apps and backup codes are managed in My Profile's two-factor authentication settings. Turning on an app creates new backup codes and invalidates older backup codes.
- Subusers can set up two-factor authentication for their own sign-in, separately from the account owner.
- Generate backup codes from My Profile's two-factor authentication settings after confirming the account password. Save them when shown: they are displayed only once, each works once, and generating a new set invalidates all older codes. After a backup-code sign-in, a notice confirms the code has been used and shows how many remain when the count is available.
- Removing a two-factor authentication phone number requires the account password. Sign-in refusals explain temporary limits and how long to wait.
- Profile: personal and company details, primary and secondary billing email addresses, notification addresses, and alternative contact methods.
- Users and permissions: account owners and full administrators choose each person's access by service, including separate permissions for viewing prices and for actions that can interrupt service or delete data. Actions that can add charges are marked with a dollar sign. Full access includes billing and user management. Saved permission sets can be reused for several people; changing a saved set changes access for everyone assigned to that set. These settings are under Account, User Management.
- Invitations: have the portal email an invitation, or copy an invitation link and share the link by email, chat or text message. The new user follows the link to choose their own password. Each link works once. For a link copied to share personally, choose its lifetime from 1 hour to 30 days. The users page shows outstanding invitations, last sign-in and two-factor authentication status.
- Light and dark themes.
- A home dashboard with counts of every service, quick actions and alerts, such as servers with high CPU.
- A new-customer checklist after the first order: set the portal password, verify the email address, turn on two-factor authentication, set the shell password, point the domain to ServerPoint's nameservers, create the first mailbox and install the website.
## Billing
- One account balance for every service, topped up by deposit. ServerPoint bucks (bonus credit) count towards it.
- Save several credit cards and choose the default; or pay by PayPal. Card payments go through Stripe, which can also offer Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, Cash App and Alipay.
- Invoices and payment history, and a services and subscriptions page showing what every service costs.
- Virtual servers: hourly on-demand billing from the balance, or reserved terms paid monthly or yearly (discounted).
- Web hosting and dedicated servers: choose and change billing terms.
- Payment reminders link straight to billing.
## Support
- Open a ticket with the right team: web hosting, virtual servers, dedicated servers, network engineers, other technical questions, billing, sales, general questions, feature requests and affiliates.
- Each ticket form asks the questions that team needs (for example a traceroute for network problems) and has a separate box for confidential information such as passwords.
- Follow and answer tickets in the portal, or open one without signing in using the ticket number and a PIN chosen when opening it.
- System status: https://status.serverpoint.com/
- What changed in the portal: https://portal.serverpoint.com/changelog (sign-in needed).
## Latest changelog entry: version 7.2026.10.21
The October 21, 2026 release leads with the rebuilt permission system: access by service, separate control over prices and disruptive actions, charge indicators, and reusable permission sets. Account owners and full administrators manage access under Account, User Management. Full administrators have access to everything, including billing and user management. Invitations can be emailed by the portal or shared by copying a link. Each invitation link works once; the lifetime of a copied invitation link can be chosen from 1 hour to 30 days. The users page shows outstanding invitations, last sign-in and two-factor authentication status. Subusers can protect their own sign-ins with two-factor authentication, managed individually under My Profile, Two-factor authentication. For virtual server password resets and operating system reinstalls, customers now choose or generate the new password in the portal instead of receiving a password by email. Routine bug fixes are summarized in one general sentence. API keys are not announced in this entry because they remain hidden on the live portals. WordPress Manager and the MCP interface remain coming soon.
## Coming soon
- MCP interface: ServerPoint has replaced hundreds of APIs with new ones better suited to AI tools such as Claude and Codex. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a common way for AI assistants to connect to services and carry out tasks. The upcoming interface is intended to let compatible AI tools help customers manage their ServerPoint services. It is not yet announced as available.
- WordPress Manager: installation, website updates and backups together in the Client Portal. The pages remain hidden on live hostnames. ServerPoint will announce when the feature is ready to use.
